Good evening,

my need, which I have not solved at the moment, is to create a vertical bar graph with the Y-axis in logarithmic scale since I have three measures to represent that have a very different scale between them.

I cannot use the bar graph with 2 axes because it seems not to accept the use of 3  measures.

Below I report the graph that I would like to create in Viya:

In SAS viya with bar chart it seems impossible to regulate Y axis scale with 3 measures:

how can i solve it?

Kind regards
Paolo

Have you tried building a custom graph consisting of three bar charts.   Below is an example with three measures.

No, but the problem is that I have to represent three measures with different scales. You are representing measures with approximately the same scale. In my case the bar of the smallest measure is not even visible in bar chart and I can not change the values in Y axis

For your bar chart, the only other option would be to set a fixed Y axis so that you can accommodate the measure with the lowest values.

I see why the customer graph will not work because you can only edit one y axis.

In custom graph is it possible to edit Y-axis to show grid of values like 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000 on the chart?

UPDATE: Researching a bit more, the log scale is available in Viya 4 for these graphs:

  • A new Logarithmic scale option is available for scatter plots, time series plots, line charts, forecasting objects, and numeric series plots.

Prior to that, only normalization is available.

For the Custom Graph, if you don't overlay the bar charts then it does provide an option for different y axis.
