Maybe you can exclude gender, cultural identity, and country region. Maybe other variables may be less bias. Do you have other variables for your sample model? Maybe the econometrics analysis would be better. I worked in the banking industry and using gender, cultural identity, and country region would have to be excluded in the models to prevent bias. Hard to make loan approval process that would be approved by models very difficult. Also the government requests models used and developed. Internal validation teams also run validations but have a limited time as well.

That is correct but typically in training at SAS USER CONFERENCES, college training and corporate training, I like to add more that the conclusion is clear. Interesting that you were able to get the date without using DATEPART function to separate the date component from the time component. Thanks for showing me the DTDATE FORMAT. With SAS training you always learn new things of getting solutions. I guess I got used to Ron Cody's SAS training sessions since 1989 at many SAS USER GROUP MEETINGS I attended (local, regional, and national). I was reading a May 10 th , 2023 SAS-L 1 email digest about issues with running mergers with very large data sets (or tables). An email was sent about an individual having long run times with mergers and hash joins and wanted to see how to speed up mergers taking 6 hours or more and HASH joins taking 8 Hours. From my experience, there are many issues over the years where Data Mergers and/or SQL joins were taking too long usually; sometimes 2 or more days of sorting and merging 2 files. My correction for the 2-day run using USER FORMATS resulted in a 10-minute merge. A common issue in processing epidemiology and consumer data analysis. Using the USER FORMAT reads the larger file without having to sort it and creates a smaller large file that can then be sorted in quicker time. You can try to use a LIBNAME for XLSX files if you have SAS 9.4M2 and larger maintenance(M). You can use the LIBNAME to directly import from spread sheet or export to spread sheets. LIBNAMES are great. See some of the SAS LIBNAME XLSX You Tube Videos to get a new look at the feature. A number of SAS learners asked me if using ARRAYS in SAS® for large data sets works better than using PROC TRANSPOSE. Someone asked how he can get 100-character variables, with different variable names, stored as one variable. ARRAYS are stored in memory in SAS which may speed up the runs. You may want to look into SAS Visual Forecasting: https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Communities-Library/SAS-Visual-Forecasting-8-2-is-now-available/ta-p/428520 I usually do my forecast models through SAS ETS procedures so I can't help you there. SAS Viya had some visual forecasting methodology but I no longer have access to it at the moment.

The SAS documentation state that for SAS/STAT releases before SAS/STAT 14.1 the BINWIDTH is 0.002 which I assume results in 500 bins. I typically build Credit Risk logistic models without binning continuous independent variables. For SAS/STAT versions starting at 14.1 or higher and there are fewer than 5 million observations then the default BINWIDTH=0 which means that no binning is done. Am I interpreting correctly?
